This location used to be a five-star shop for me. Unfortunately, my latest experience has brought that down to one star. I believe the location recently transitioned from being independently/franchise operated to being under Mavis, and the level of service I experienced was nowhere near what I received here in the past. I brought my 2016 Jeep Cherokee in because of an issue that was diagnosed as the alternator. They replaced the alternator, but approximately a week later, the vehicle died again. I brought it back, and this time they replaced the starter. That didn't fix the problem either. After that, I was told I needed to purchase a battery because mine was supposedly bad. I paid roughly $300 for the battery—and the vehicle still had the same problem. That's where I have a serious issue. If the battery was known to be bad, why wasn't that identified and discussed during the original diagnosis? Instead, after the alternator and starter failed to resolve the problem, replacing the battery felt like another attempt to find the issue rather than a confident diagnosis. This location is very accommodating to assist with all minor and serious automotive services. I am a future customer, and I just received superb assistance from their entire staff. My mobility scooter and portable generator were drained, so the service technician asked me what kind of charger does it need. I had all my devices, and he immediately helped me bring my mobility scooter to the parking lot. I am in awe of the knowledge, kindness, and southern amazement I received from the entire staff. They are all fantastic and I hope to bring my next vehicle here to be charged, diagnosed, and completely restored. The management didn't charge me anything to use their electrical outlets, so i have to do something spectacular for them...gift cards for restaurants or clothing #giftcards.

Brought my car in for a tire issue and was really impressed with how quickly they diagnosed the problem. The team was honest about what they found and transparent about next steps rather than upselling unnecessary services. Gotta make a run for a part due to shipping and rarity but still offering to get it done today!

As a first-time customer, I really wanted to leave a 5-star review because the staff was friendly, the service was completed in a timely manner, and they honored the $20 off full synthetic oil change coupon without any issues. My disappointment came from the pricing. Before coming in, I checked the Midas website for this exact location (920 Northside Dr., Atlanta), which advertised a Full Synthetic Oil Change starting at $79.99. However, when I arrived, I was told the price was actually $89.99. When I showed the manager the pricing listed on their own website, he explained that it was an “internet issue” and a “national average,” and said he couldn’t honor the advertised price. I understand that mistakes can happen, but as a new customer, first impressions matter. Customers make decisions based on the prices businesses advertise online. If the website for a specific location displays a price that isn’t actually available there, it creates confusion and undermines trust. Avoid this location at all costs. My experience has been a disaster. Save your money and go to literally any other repair shop on Howell Mill. Here is exactly why you should stay away: Incompetent & Overpriced Diagnostics: They charged me an exorbitant fee for a diagnostic test that they couldn’t even properly execute, let alone actually find or fix the issue with my car. Insane Markups: They charge heavily for a simple, routine oil change that costs a fraction of the price elsewhere. Shady Billing Practices (Watch your receipt!): I came in to get my rotors replaced and they straight up double-charged me. When I caught the "error" and challenged them on it, they just brushed it off with a casual "oops, my bad." If I hadn't been paying attention, they would have stolen hundreds from me. Broken Tech & Insulting Customer Service: Their credit card machine wasn't working, and instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, the staff had the audacity to rudely ask me if I "had the funds" to cover my bill.
